Hello! I'm Rhian!
I graduated in July 2017 from Winchester School of Art after a brilliant three years of study; here, I studied Graphic Arts and specialized in Illustration. For my final project at university I considered the ways in which designers can add value to and ensure the continued desirability of physical printed matter in the ever-growing digital world. In my last year or so of university, my work had been very focused on book-making and book cover design, however surface pattern and print is a particular fascination of mine and something that I feel is reflected largely in my portfolio.
Over the last few years, I have enjoyed continuing to develop my skills both on paper and digitally. Working on both client led and personal projects not only allows me to further my existing knowledge of the various creative disciplines, but it also keeps alive and expands upon my passion for art. I have purposely kept all work showcased within my portfolio varied because it naturally is so - I would never want to limit my own creativity or possibilities by forcing myself in to just one artistic lane when there is so many in the field to be explored. One beauty of art is the freedom it allows after all.
Art has always been first and foremost a hobby for me, and something I will forever love.
